The MagneSafe P55 is a compact and portable USB card
reader-authenticator device (55mm in length),
specifically designed to enhance security for online
banking and e-commerce applications. The MagneSafe P55
is self-powered from the USB port, and can be connected
to any PC or terminal with a USB interface.
MagneSafe portable readers protect consumers from the
threats of Internet Phishing, Spyware, and Identity
Theft. MagneSafe readers utilize a security architecture
that combines MagnePrint ® Card Authentication, Website
Authentication, and 3DES DUKPT Data Encryption into a
solution that meets FFIEC and PCI-DSS recommendations
for Strong Multi-factor Authentication and encryption of
cardholder data. MagneSafe readers provide consumers
with a fast and convenient means to securely log-in to
their online bank accounts, and to make secure card
payments for e-commerce applications. With a blink of
its LED, the MagneSafe P55 informs a consumer when they
are connected to a trusted Internet website. With a
swipe of a magstripe financial card, consumers
simultaneously gain secure access to their online
accounts, and have secure card data that can be used for
e-commerce payment applications.
