ActiveX card reader software for use with PayPal Virtual Terminal

Activate your MagneSafe card reader by following these steps:

  1. Plug your card reader into a USB port on your computer
  2. Download and install the ActiveX software for Internet Explorer (V6 or higher)
  3. Log in to your PayPal account
  4. Go to the Virtual Terminal order form
  5. Enter the transaction amount, then select the transaction type.
  6. Swipe the card
  7. The following information will be entered automatically in your Virtual Terminal order form:
    • Card number
    • Expiration date
    • Customer name
  8. Enter your customer’s address and any other information you want to include for your records
  9. Submit the transaction for review
  10. Submit for final processing

Note: The ActiveX software allows your internet browser to communicate securely with your card reader. Be sure to plug your card reader directly into a USB port on your computer and not through a hub or keyboard. ActiveX is only supported on Internet Explorer version 6.
